Throughout the year Sault Ste. Marie plays host to a diverse range of festivals and events, including the Algoma Fall Festival, Art at the Docks, Shadows of the Mind Film Festival, Ontario Winter Carnival Bon Soo and much more. It is also home of the internationally recognized Algoma Conservatory of Music, Algoma Art Gallery, Algoma Arts Council, Musical Comedy Guild of Sault Ste. Marie and other organizations that support a rich diversity of arts and cultural activities.
As home of the GFL Memorial Gardens, Northern Ontario’s most state-of-the-art sports and entertainment complex, Sault Ste. Marie is also a great place to see live music and sporting events. In addition to hockey and curling, the venue has hosted a number of major acts, including Elton John, KISS, Jerry Seinfeld, Sheryl Crow, Blue Man Group, the Backstreet Boys and Blue Rodeo.
